London (ots/PRNewswire) - The Tempus Journalism Awards, launchedearlier this year by the Global Lung Cancer Coalition (GLCC), is thefirst global initiative to recognise excellence in lung cancerreporting.
There are still two months remaining before judging begins - soplease continue to send in your submissions. Remember, entries areinvited from journalists whose features, commentaries or programmeson lung cancer have been published or broadcast between 1 September2005 and 1 September 2006.
Entries must be received by 28 September to be considered.
Award categories are:
- Best Medical Article
- Best Consumer Article
- Best Broadcast Piece
The winner of each award category will be announced during LungCancer Awareness Month 2006 (November) and receive a EUR7000 researchgrant towards further reporting of the disease, as well as globalrecognition of their outstanding excellence in journalism.
